Day 13, Worship That Pleases God, provides great insight on something that we often misunderstand. Worship! In worshiping God, many times, we tend to choose that worship which most pleases us.
Sunday morning church and a prayer every now and then – using the same old language that we’ve used for years. There are many different ways to enjoy intimacy and love with God: reading, studying, hanging out with friends, dancing, serving others, making art, meditating, and by doing hundreds of other things.
If God intentionally made us all different, why should everyone be expected to love God in the same way?
Day 13, tells us that the best way to worship God is to use the style that best represents our authenticity for Christ. It must be accurate, authentic, thoughtful, and practical. Today’s reading also challenges us to be intentional about giving ALL of ourselves to God. All of us, at all times. This is challenging, but I believe it is so necessary and will be well worth it.
Ask Yourself: Which is more pleasing to God right now – my public worship or my private worship? What will I do about this?
