How Real Servants Act, Day 33, starts out by saying “We serve God by serving others.”
It is amazing how to witness how God works. He knew years ago, that we would be doing exactly what it is that we are doing at this very moment. He even knew that I would be sharing my thoughts on this book for you to read.
The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige, and position. Jesus, however, measured greatness in terms of service, not status.
We can look at six characteristics Real Servants have:
Real servants make themselves available to serve.
Real servants pay attention to needs.
Real servants do their best with what they have.
Real servants do every task with equal dedication.
Real servants are faithful to their ministry.
Real servants maintain a low profile.
The aim is not to be successful, but to be significant. Living our lives for God is the significant part…for Him and with what He has given us.
Thousands of books have been written on leadership, but few on servant hood.
Ask Yourself: Which of the six characteristics of real servants offer to greatest challenge for me?
