Becoming a World-Class Christian, Day 38 – Purpose Driven Life

In many ways we limit ourselves on what we think we have to offer, and to whom. As Christians, yes we believe in Christ, but we often overlook or forget about the fact that He commands us to spread the good news to all people.  Not just those in our neighborhood or city.

This chapter reminds us that we must pray for everyone…even other countries.  It goes on to say we must reach out to our community, our country, other cultures, and other nations.  If we fail to reach all of them, that is fine, but we must at least try.  No one is exempt from knowing the glory of the Lord, and we shouldn’t act as such.  As stated, we must shift our thinking from

As we move forward, we must:

Shift from self-centered thinking to other-centered thinking.

Shift from local thinking to global thinking.

Shift from ‘here and now’ thinking to ‘eternal’ thinking.

Shift from thinking of excuses to thinking of creative ways to fulfill your commission.

Ask Yourself: What steps can I take to prepare to go on a short-term missions experience in the next year?
